Unfortunately, people want hearing aids to understand speech, often in noisy environments. Audigence’s patented Clarujust™ approach utilizes optimization theory to tune an individual’s digital hearing device based on the fundamental building blocks of speech intelligibility.
Clarujust™ focuses on an automated approach to fine-tune digital hearing devices to a user’s needs. The automated evaluation is based on the most common features of speech that affect device users. The patient hears a nonsense word then repeats the sound. Next, an optimization algorithm processes the patient’s response and selects the next set of parameters to modify. This process continues until the patient reaches an optimum state of hearing.
Audigence’s software can be delivered remotely, and it supplies the foundation for self-tuning devices. The technology can also be applied to cellular telephone handsets so these devices can be self-tuned to an individual’s unique hearing capabilities.
